Tips for Towel Care

1. When the towel is not clean, it should be cleaned immediately.

If possible, wash the towel immediately when you feel that the fabric is not clean or wash it at least once a week to avoid the stains on cloth and become the source of bacteria. Do not leave it dirty for a long time. It should be washed separately from other clothes.

2. Wash dark color clothes separately
Separate dark color clothes from light ones because there may be excessive dye left in the water after washing it for the second and third times.

3.Wash by using large amount of water for several times
If the amount of clothes and water is not appropriate, it may cause friction and damages to clothes. Therefore, use an adequate amount of water so that clothes can move freely.

4. Use washing machine
Since the washing machine cleans clothes by shaking them, you should use a washing bag to help preserve the fabric and prevent fabric’s threads from damages.

5. Do not use chlorinated solution
This will cause the following damages;
   1) Discoloration
   2) Fibers deteriorate and rot quickly
   3) Shrinkage in some kinds of fiber

6. Use a small amount of fabric softener
(or fabric softener should not be used)
Especially Super Soft Fabric, if a large amount of fabric softener is used, threads will be loose and fall during washing. Fabric softener should be used when the towel is hard from long-term of use. It can only smooth the surface of fibers and does not soften fibers. Plus, it may reduce the absorbent property.

7. Appropriate temperature for washing towel
It should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. (Do not use hot water.)

Hot water may cause the shrinkage of the pattern which contains polyester, rayon, elastic band, or embroidery. It is recommended to wash in normal temperature or 40 degrees Celsius. Please always read the instructions for care before washing.

8. Fabric consisting of elastic fibers

For the fabric consisting of elastic fibers, it should be washed in normal temperature. Do not wash it with hot water.

9. Do not twist too much
If the towel is twisted too much for making it dry, its threads will be flat and hard. If it is left after the dry wash, it will be harder and cannot return to the former condition. As a result, after finishing the dry wash, take it out of the washing machine.

10. Shake out the towel before hanging
After the dry wash, shake out the towel before hanging. You can shake it out for 10-20 times by spreading the entire towel or folding it into half. The towel’s threads will be upright and softer. It should be hang in a well-ventilated indoor area.

11. It should be dried in the shade or use a dryer to get better results
Avoid being exposed to direct sunlight because UV light may cause the fabric to be harder and its color will fade. Drying clothes in the dryer is the best way because it will make the fabric softer.

12. Towel should not be ironed.

It will make towel’s threads flat. Each type of fiber requires different appropriate temperature so it is recommended to carefully read the instructions for care.

13. Preserving its fluffiness with correct storage method
The towel is soft and fluffy because it retains air between fibers. If you fold and stack them, the threads will be flat and lose the fluffiness. Therefore, you should roll or fold it to avoid the stack and pressure. It should be kept in well-ventilated area as well because the towel absorbs humidity very well.
